ARTiculate Artist Talks
Sometimes, when you’re looking at art, you wish the artist was standing right next to you so you could turn to them and ask, ‘What were you thinking?!?’ That’s what ARTiculate is all about!
Artists and audiences come together at ARTiculate, Baton Rouge Gallery's monthly artist talk series. This is your chance to hear straight from the artists themselves about the techniques, processes and inspirations behind the works on display in their exhibitions. These informal talks provide a Q&A period and plenty of insight sure to cast a new light on great local contemporary art.
Next ARTiculate: At 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, the gallery’s ARTiculate Artist Talk series will invite audience members for a peek-behind-the-curtain look at BRG's May exhibition with James Burke, Malaika Favorite and April Hammock.
In June: At 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, Michael w. Howes, Phyllis Lear and Christy Diniz Liffmann will discuss their work and field questions regarding their exhibition.
ARTiculate Artist Talks are - with few exceptions - always held at 4 p.m. on the Sunday that follows each exhibition's First Wednesday Opening Reception. These events are always free and open to the public.
